Cards and packs
Rarities, Prismatic cards and numbered prints, the sets, the packs and where to find them.
The cards
Every card shows its mob’s real model, live, so cards for modded mobs work with no extra art. Right-click a card to look closer, and drag it to turn the mob round. Each card has its collector number (012/045), its rarity, three stats and a line of flavour text.
Rarities
Five ore tiers, from most common to rarest: Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond and Netherite. Rarer cards drop less often and turn up less in packs.
Any card can also come as a Prismatic foil, with a shimmering rainbow finish. Between one card in 20 and one in 12 from a pack is Prismatic (the Collector Pack is the most generous), and 2% of mob drops.
Numbered prints
Every Prismatic card and every Netherite card gets a print number when it’s pulled, dropped or made: the first Prismatic Warden on your server is #001, the next #002, and so on. The number stays with the card in your binder and through trades. Low numbers are bragging rights.
When someone pulls (or a mob drops) a Netherite or Prismatic card, the whole server hears about it in chat: hover the card’s name to see it, click to look closer.
The sets
There are 155 cards in eight sets:
| Set | Cards | |
|---|---|---|
| Overworld | 45 | Every Overworld mob |
| Nether | 10 | |
| The End | 4 | |
| Deep Waters | 12 | Everything that swims |
| Bosses & Raiders | 10 | The Warden, the Wither, the Elder Guardian and the raid |
| Variants | 49 | Every cat, wolf, frog, axolotl, parrot and rabbit, sheep colours, babies, a charged creeper and more. The blue axolotl is the chase. |
| Spooky Season | 13 | Only from 1 October to 7 November |
| Winter Wonderland | 12 | Only from 1 December to 7 January |
A variant card only drops from a mob that matches it: the calico cat card from a calico cat. Seasonal cards only drop, and their packs only turn up, in season.
Mobs from other mods get cards automatically, in a set named after their mod, with a rarity based on how tough they are.
Booster packs
There’s a pack for each set, holding five cards (three for The End and Bosses & Raiders, which are small sets), plus the Collector Pack: six cards from every set, with at least one Gold or better and a chance at Netherite.
- Chests: dungeons, desert and jungle temples, villages, Nether fortresses and bastions, End cities, shipwrecks, mansions, outposts, ancient cities, trial vaults and strongholds.
- Wandering traders sell a pack or two.
- The Card Shop and the Card Dealer sell them for shards or emeralds (see Binder, shop and trading).
- Crafting: the Overworld Booster is 8 paper around an emerald.
Mob drops
When a player kills a mob, it sometimes drops its card: commoner cards more often, Netherite ones rarely. Looting raises the chance. Kills by your arrows and pets count; deaths from falling or lava don’t. The Ender Dragon always drops its card.
