    Binder, shop and trading

The Card Binder, set rewards, history and leaderboards, the Card Shop and Card Dealer, trading and showing cards off.

    The Card Binder

Craft one from a book, 2 leather and string, and right-click it.

    • Every set is listed down the left with how much of it you have. Click one to see its cards in collector order, with silhouettes for the ones you haven’t found.
    • Put cards in moves every card from your inventory into the binder.
    • Take out spares gives you every duplicate, ready to trade or trade in.
    • Click a card to take a copy out. Prismatic cards keep their print numbers.

The first time your binder holds a whole set, you get its reward (diamonds and XP for the Overworld, for example) and the server hears about it.

    History and leaderboards

The binder’s History button shows your last 50 pulls, your luckiest pack, how many packs you’ve opened, and your Collection Score and rank on the server.

Your Collection Score counts every different card you’ve ever found (rarer ones count for more, Prismatic finds most of all) plus 50 for each set you’ve completed. /tradingcards top shows the server’s leaderboard, by score, cards found, sets completed or packs opened.

    The Card Shop

Craft one from glass panes over planks with an emerald in the middle, place it and right-click it. It has three counters:

    • Trade in: swap a card for Card Shards (click a card for one copy, shift-click for every copy). Trade in spares trades everything but one of each card, or every copy if your binder already has it. Prismatic cards are never traded in as spares, and are worth five times as much.
    • Packs: buy boosters for shards or emeralds.
    • Craft: make any card you’re missing from shards. Rarer cards cost more.
Rarity Trades in for Costs to make
    Copper 1 shard 12 shards
    Iron 2 25
    Gold 5 60
    Diamond 15 180
    Netherite 50 600

    The Card Dealer

A villager who takes a Card Shop as their workstation. They buy your cards for emeralds and sell packs, binders, stands and shards, with rarer packs (and the season’s) as they level up. At master level they sell a random Diamond card.

    Trading

Sneak and right-click another player while holding a card, pack or binder (or type /tradingcards trade <player>). They click [Accept] in chat, and a trade screen opens for you both. Put cards in your side, then both press Confirm.

Any change to either side takes both confirmations back and locks Confirm for two seconds, so nobody can swap something at the last moment. Closing the screen, leaving or dying calls the trade off and gives everything back.

    Showing them off

    • Card Stand: a stick over 3 wooden slabs. Right-click it with a card to put it on show; with an empty hand to take it back. Cards work in item frames too.
    • Set Display: gold nuggets and dark oak round an item frame. Hang it on a wall and right-click it with your binder: it shows one of your sets three blocks wide (right-click again for the next set), face up for the cards you have and backs for the rest, with gold trim once the set is complete. Sneak and right-click to clear it.

    Milestones

16 advancements under Trading Cards: your first card and pack, Gold, Diamond and Netherite pulls, your first Prismatic, 10, 40 and 81 different cards, completing a set, all five main sets, the Variants and a seasonal set, trading, trading in, crafting and opening 50 packs.
