Channels and permissions
Who can post, edit and change settings, and how to get alerts when a channel changes.
Owners and members
The player who creates a channel owns it. On the board, Settings (owners and server operators only) lets the owner:
- choose whether anyone can post or members only,
- add and remove members,
- give the channel to another player.
| Action | Who |
|---|---|
| See any channel | Everyone |
| Post, pin, tick, change counts, hand items in | Everyone, or only members on a members-only channel |
| Edit or delete a note, take handed-in items out | The note’s author, the channel owner, operators |
| Channel settings | The channel owner, operators |
| Change a board’s channel or display options | Whoever placed it, the channel owner, operators |
Every change is checked by the server, so a modified game can’t get around these rules.
Watching a channel
Press Watch on a board to get a pop-up whenever someone adds a note or finishes a to-do or item list on that channel. Press it again to stop. You never get a pop-up for your own changes.
Switching a board’s channel
Press Channel… on a board to tune it to a different channel, or to create a new one. The whole wall the board belongs to switches with it.
