    Getting started

Install Body Language and do your first emote. Wave, clap, cheer, dance with your friends, hug and high-five.

Body Language adds emotes to Minecraft. Hold B, point at an emote and let go: your player waves, claps, cheers, bows, dances or lies down in the grass. Everyone near you on a server with the mod sees it.

It runs on NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.

    What’s in it

    • 30 emotes, from Wave, Clap and Cheer to Air Guitar, Lie Down and four dances. See the emotes.
    • An emote wheel for your eight favourites: point and let go, or press 1 to 8. A list of every emote lets you choose which eight go on the wheel.
    • Dance together. Start a dance next to someone already doing it and you fall into step, or look at a dancer and press G to join in.
    • Hugs and high-fives. Look at a friend, press G, and if they say yes you both step into place for a hug or a high-five.
    • /emote for keybind mods and macros: /emote wave, /emote stop.
    • Smooth animation. Emotes ease in and out instead of snapping, and the view swings round behind you so you can see what you’re doing.
    • Moving ends it. Walk, jump, sneak or attack and you’re straight back to normal.
    • Works anywhere. On a server with Body Language, everyone with the mod sees your emotes. On a server without it, you still see your own.
    • Make your own. Emotes are small text files, so a resource pack can add new ones.

    Installing

    1. Install NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1 (version 21.1.251 or newer).
    2. Get Body Language from CurseForge: add it to a profile in the CurseForge app, or download the jar and put it in your mods folder.
    3. To show your emotes to other players, and for hugs, high-fives and dancing in step, the server needs Body Language too. Players without it can still join that server; they just don’t see emotes.

    Your first emote

    1. In a world, hold B. The emote wheel opens with eight emotes in a circle.
    2. Move the mouse towards Wave (at the top) and let go of B. Or, while holding B, press 1.
    3. Your view swings round behind you and your player waves. When it’s done, the view comes back.

Press N to see every emote. To end a long emote like a dance, just walk away.
