    Sleepers

When a player logs off, they fall asleep in their bed, wearing their own skin, with their name and when they were last seen floating above them. Your server feels lived in, even when it’s quiet.

    Developer
    Hardline Interactive
    Version
    1.0.0
    Minecraft
    1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.2 and 26.3
    Loaders
    NeoForge and Fabric

    What it does

Sleepers lays offline players down in their beds. Walk past a friend’s base and there they are, asleep, with “last seen 3 hours ago” over their head. Right-click them for a card with their play time. When they log back in, they wake up and the sleeper is gone.

It goes on the server only: players don’t need it, so it drops into any server or modpack, and vanilla players see sleepers too. Sleepers are only for show: nothing can hurt or push them, the bed still works, and they stay off minimaps.

    What players see

Nothing to install: it’s all sent by the server.

    • Offline players asleep in their respawn bed, with their real skin, skin layers and cape.
    • No bed? They lie down where they logged off, and players who log off on the same spot lie side by side.
    • A label with their name and “last seen 5 minutes ago”, or the date after two weeks, readable at night.
    • Little z’s floating up now and then.
    • Right-click for a card with when they were last seen and their play time; right-click again to use the bed.
    • Only for show: they can’t be hurt or pushed, block nothing, and stay off Xaero’s Minimap, JourneyMap and FTB Chunks.

    For server owners

One settings file, the same on NeoForge and Fabric.

    • Sleepers go away when the player is back, when their bed is broken, after 30 days or when they’re banned, and survive restarts.
    • Settings for players with no bed, other dimensions, how long sleepers stay, the label, play time, the z’s and when to show a date.
    • Show sleepers to everyone, or only to teammates: vanilla teams, FTB Teams and Open Parties and Claims parties.
    • /sleepers list (click one to teleport there), /sleepers clear and /sleepers reload.
    • Players can opt out with /sleepers optout.
    • Light on the server: nothing runs per tick per player, and packets are sent only when something changes.

    Quick start

    On your server

    1. Put Sleepers in the server’s mods folder (with Fabric API, on Fabric) and start it. Players don’t need anything.
    2. Sleep in a bed, or click it, so it’s your respawn point, then log off.
    3. Anyone near your bed now sees you asleep, with your name and when you were last seen. Log back in and you wake up.

    Changing it

    1. Open config/sleepers-server.toml on the server; every setting is explained in it.
    2. Change what you like, for example showTo = "TEAMMATES".
    3. Run /sleepers reload.
